Building Your First Link Page

Step-by-step guide to creating your church's link page with essential links, customizing the design, and making it live.

Now that you've created your church account, let's build your first link page! This guide will walk you through adding links, organizing them, and customizing the appearance.

Quick Start: Essential Church Links

Most churches start with these essential links. We'll add them one by one:

  1. Sunday Service Live Stream
  2. Online Giving
  3. Contact Information
  4. Social Media Profiles
  5. Latest Sermon Series

Step 1: Navigate to Links Management

  1. From your dashboard, click on "Links" in the navigation menu
  2. You'll see the Links Management page where you can add, edit, and organize all your links

Step 2: Add Your First Link

Let's start by adding a link to your Sunday service live stream:

Click "Add New Link"

You'll see a form with the following fields:

  1. Title: Enter "Sunday Service Live Stream"

    • This is what visitors will see on the button
    • Keep it clear and concise
  2. URL: Enter your live stream URL

    • Example: https://youtube.com/c/yourchurch/live
    • Make sure to test the link first!
  3. Link Type: Select "Regular Link"

    • Regular Link: Standard button that opens the URL
    • Header: Creates a section title (we'll use this later)
    • Social: For social media profiles (shown as icons)
  4. Icon (Optional): Choose an icon to display next to the title

    • Select the video/play icon for live streams
    • Icons help visitors quickly identify link types
  5. Visibility: Toggle ON to make the link visible immediately

    • You can hide links temporarily while editing
  6. Click "Save Link" to add it to your page

Your First Link is Live!

Congratulations! Your link is now visible on your public page at linked.church/your-church-slug.

Step 3: Add More Essential Links

Let's add the rest of your essential church links:

Online Giving Link

  1. Click "Add New Link"
  2. Title: "Give Online"
  3. URL: Your giving platform URL
  4. Icon: Choose the gift or heart icon
  5. Save the link

Contact Information

  1. Click "Add New Link"
  2. Title: "Contact Us"
  3. URL: Link to your contact page or mailto:info@yourchurch.com
  4. Icon: Choose the envelope or phone icon
  5. Save the link

Step 4: Organize with Headers

Headers help group related links together. Let's create sections:

Creating a Header

  1. Click "Add New Link"
  2. Select "Header" as the Link Type
  3. Title: "Connect With Us"
  4. Leave URL empty (headers don't need URLs)
  5. Save the header

Organizing Links Under Headers

  1. After creating a header, use drag and drop to move links under it
  2. Click and hold the grip icon (⋮⋮) next to a link
  3. Drag it below the header where you want it
  4. Release to drop it in place
